Many moons ago, I started out as a bean counter (I’m allowed to say that because I was one) at Ernst & Young LLP, one of the world’s largest professional services firms.
After earning my CPA credentials (and I earned every damn letter), I quickly jumped ship to a startup consulting firm as Director of Marketing and Business Development — a leap that still scares me to this very day.
Over the next few years, I learned the ins and outs of how to build a professional services firm from the ground up. We went from 0 to 7 figures in just a few short years. And I lost a ton of hair in the process.
