I made a silly, absent minded mistake this morning.
Last night, I took my laptop home because I had to finish up some work after dinner.
This is not something I do often. I’ve been pretty good about leaving work (and therefore, my laptop) at the office.
It’s nice to leave the office empty handed.
This morning, I completely forgot I had brought my laptop home with me.
So like every other morning, I leisurely walked out the front door with nothing but my phone and car keys.
It wasn’t until I got to the office that I realized my mistake.
You might be thinking… what’s the big deal?
Just go home and get it.
Sure, but when you have 6 hours of calls lined up for the day and a host of other things to attend to outside of those calls…
The one hour spent going home and coming back, for a silly mistake like this one, hurts quite a bit.
Luckily, I found the silver lining.
