I want you to be like Sir Richard Branson…
Or Bill Gates.
One of those big household names who have changed how the world works.
They’ve got enormous reach, enormous wealth, big personalities.
But that’s not why I want you to be like them.
I want you to have what they have:
Absolute Non-Neediness.
They could retire today and never worry about anything else again if they wanted.
Now, let’s imagine you were to get one of them on a call.
Let’s say Elon Musk, for example, was having issues with PR.
And let’s say you head a PR firm that specializes in positively affecting public opinion of high-profile companies.
So you both show up to the call.
Immediately, Elon’s whole demeanor, his presence, his CONTEXT is going to suggest, “I do not NEED you. There are a million others like you. This may be a huge call to you… but for me it’s just the 15 minutes I have before lunch.”
Of course he wouldn’t SAY that. He wouldn’t be rude or anything.
(Or he might, idk. I’ve never met the guy).
But that’s just the context he carries with him into the call.
He’s Anti-needy.
And when it comes to YOUR firm, I suggest you take a page out of Elon’s book.
Why?
Because…
Need
Kills
Sales.
